Hello Everyone!

We had a fantastic weekend at Camden Lock Market over the weekend and sampled many foodstuffs.  The great thing about being a market trader is meeting all the other traders.  On our way to the market we bumped into Jimmy, who trades in the East yard selling clothes…he’s a great guy and has promised to take us out for a drink!    I finally tried out the veggie bar halloumi soy burger and it was delicious even though I’m a big meat eater, served by the lovely Paul who is a fantastic guy!  We were positioned opposite the Pina Colada stall…they’re so busy (and great friendly people)!  Luckily for us, it meant a lot of people got to see our stall and buy stuff :)  The pina colada’s are highly recommended…totally refreshing and deliciously ice cold!  

Michelle found a stall serving freshly made-to-order Chinese dumplings which were MASSIVE.  We both share a love for pork long bun which we call meat shots because of the broth in them and they were totally amazing!  Another thing you MUST try in Camden is the liquid nitrogen ice cream store.  They turn liquids into into ice cream right right there in front of you!  We shared the chocolate and vanilla and topped with the pistachio and rose water sugar glass…OMG!  They have swings outside!  If you don’t fancy an ice cream, just go in there to cool down and have a chat…I forgot to ask their names but they’re very friendly:)

Anyway, back to soap…we’ve got some fantastic new scents coming this weekend.  We’re introducing a few new soaps fragranced with herby and fresh essential oils but don’t worry the ever popular sell out passionfruit and bubblegum soaps will be available!

Hello!  

We’re enjoying our holiday, playing golf, getting brown(er) and enjoying way too much food :)   

As I mentioned in a previous post, Michelle and I have caught the trader’s bug and have been wishing we were out in Camden Market or at home making more soap!  We don’t have long to wait though, we’ll be at Camden Market this Saturday 3rd July!

We have some new soap (including gingerbread soap cakes!) as well as some end of line designs.  Snap up some slices quick!

Hi Everyone!  Michelle and I had our first day at Camden Market yesterday and our first day ever of trading!  We worked alongside some of the nicest people ever - hello, fellow traders!  We swapped goods, made jokes and generally messed about drinking too much coffee (which was massively discounted for traders) so the free use of the public restroom came in very handy ;) …ah, the life of trader perks!    The only thing that could have made this day any better (other than selling out) was a celebrity appearance and yes my dears, we got Joe McElderry!  Winner of x-factor last year.  He was out shopping with his family and he was just lovely.  Thanks for buying so much stuff, Joe and co.! Also a massive thank you to my Aunty Bim for buying 40 quid’s worth of goods (does that count!?) and also, she MADE me take the money…

Well, what can I say, the two of us have majorly contracted trader’s bug and can’t wait to be back out there again.  We’d love to be out there this weekend but unfortunately we’re going on holiday :(  

Although fear not, soap lover!  We’ll be out trading at Camden Lock Market on;

• Friday 2nd July - 10 a.m - 6 p.m
• Saturday 3rd July - 10 a.m - 6 p.m

In the meantime, here is our stall and here am I trying to look busy!  Admittedly, we could do with a nice display stand or something, but we are too poor for nice things! Hey, if you wanna send us a display stand, we’ll accept!

Remember those days when teachers made us wash our mouths out with soap for saying rude words?  If only they’d had this soap to hand, the experience may not have been such an unpleasant one!  Well, only just…

Whilst we don’t actually recommend this soap for cleaning your mouth out, we DO recommend it for a guilt-free tryst in the shower..

Hancrafted with a delicious buttercream middle, white chocolate whip and and an incredibly heady chocolatey scent, this is one soap you’ll find it difficult not to take a bite out of!

Superman probably knows better than most the need for a good power shower. What with all that flying around saving the world, we don’t imagine he’d smell particularly fresh for Lois.  If  Superman had showers, he would use this soap.  Minty and tingly fresh with peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils, this won’t let you (or your very own damsel/mr. handsome in distress) down.

One of our personal favourites.  This soap smells like Turkish Delight (but probably doesn’t taste as good…!) and is rolled in powdery oats for a light exfoliation. These weigh in on average around 70g.  Your skin will love you for the moisturising quality and your nose will love you even more for the lingering eastern scent.

For those of you with an insatiable appetite for sticky toffee pudding (aaahh, the calories!!), you can now fill that hole* with this scrumptious sticky toffee soap.  This soap is not sticky, nor does it taste like toffee, but it does do something - it smells incredibly like sticky toffee pudding!  Shower time can be fun again, hurray!

This is the type of soap that you would take on holiday with you.  Practical, exfoliating (thank you, poppy seeds!) and totally refreshing thanks to the delicious and fresh Green Tea scent.  Boy, do we seem to have a thing for green tea round here…it’s good for you and tasty!

So, whether you’re in Cyprus or Serbia, use this to wake yourself up and rid your body of the previous day’s excess.  A highly moisturising, all round lovely bar of soap (but then again, so is all our soap!).

Here is our other Batman soap!  This one is ready to fill your bathroom with a spicy orange (a bit like mulled orangey wine) aroma, really delicious.  Definitely one to show your mates and get them all envious; once you’ve done that, tell them where to buy one ;)

Ah, nothing like some retro Batman soap for those nostalgic TV moments!  Seriously, bring back the ‘whacks!’ and the ‘whams!’ and the ‘pows!’ Mr. Big Television Maker Man. 

While the big people work on my request, stock up on these Green Tea scented (don’t worry boys, it’s very unisex)  POW!er bars and pretend you’re taking down the bad guys in the shower.

Here we have a gorgeous loofah and juniper berry scrubby for those not so pretty bits on your feet.  Smells like diving on the Great Barrier Reef! *Do not confuse loofah with coral, which is like, totally illegal*

A favourite of the soap stall team, this cucumber and apple scented soap is encrusted with REAL CORNISH SEAWEED!  Lovingly collected by Michelle during a walk along the beach in Padstow, Cornwall and sun-dried on a roof in London (we do sometimes get sun in England!), the crust is a mix of four different types of the green stuff and I’m pretty sure I read somewhere it’s good for you…

Why not rub some of the seaweed into your elbows or feet for a lovely soft feeling throughout the day.

Sea Foam is a super popular item.  This green and blue layered soap has a sea foam top and a light seaweed and sea salt crust on the bottom for exfoliation.  The scent is quite intense, like delicious earthy liquorice.  

The boys love the rugged nature of this soap and girls love the neutral scent.  The seaweed and salt is perfect for scrubbing your heels gently and the soft top is ideal for those more delicate areas.

Smells like Grandma’s pie fresh out of the oven.  Luckily for you, this doesn’t need cooling on the windowsill.  Unluckily for you, this can’t be eaten.  Believe me, I have tried more than once (that’s how heady the scent is!) thinking “it’ll be different this time”.  Alas, no…just take this to the shower and be done!

 This hard-whipped soap is designed to float…yes, really!  Hence the name, floap (whoever came up with that, how very inventive).  Lovespell Floap smells like, well, something one may use to cast a lovespell, kind of like a sugary aniseed ball.  Attract that boy or girl of your dreams and invite them back for some fun time with your floap.  Oooh, cheeky!
